Salinas Sea Resort

Salinas Sea is a 5 star Hotel-Apartment with 329 rooms, situated to the West of Stª. Maria, in the 1 st Hotel Line adjacent to the beach. The sea front is almost entirely developed apart from the gap between Hotel Morabeza and Hotel Oásis Belorizonte where this hotel is located.

In order to obtain a solution that allowed an adequate urban integration of this hotel the following principles were taken into account: respect for local characteristics and the built environment, the adequate use of panoramic views and the search for the best solar orientations. Pre-existing volumes and the organization of outdoor spaces were also recognized, allowing public passages to the beach for those coming from the 2nd Hotel Line, to the North.

The E-shape structure facing the sea, ensured an optimal solar orientation, provided a south facing panoramic view to the majority of the existing rooms. In future north facing rooms will be able to enjoy a more urban view towards “Alameda”, with the healthy air flow it will generate.
